Dr. Lynn Jones has served as Pastor of First Baptist Church, Booneville, since 1995. A native of Plainview, Louisiana, Dr. Jones graduated from Northwestern State University in Natchitoches, Louisiana, and holds the Master of Divinity degree and the Doctor of Philosophy degree in New Testament from Southwestern Seminary in Fort Worth, Texas.
Dr. Jones was called to preach as a college student and began pastoring in 1965. He has pastored seven churches before coming to serve as pastor in Booneville. In addition to his pastoral experience, Dr. Jones has taught throughout his career and currently teaches Bible courses as an adjunct at Northeast Mississippi Community College. In addition to this, he has written widely for denominational publications.
Dr. Jones is married to the former Danielle Volk, who is a librarian at Anderson Elementary School in Booneville. They have one grown son, Blake.
