Wednesday was HAIR DAY, with some wild and wacky doos. We had colored, geled, extended, and pig-tailed! Rubberbands were in abundance. So were the kids - with 96 in attendance.
Today's serious business - getting to learn how to Get God's Love! - in the Good Samaritan's story. Mrs. Lisa used a game in her Bible class to reinforce the lesson, while Mr. Marshall extended his room into the hallway for a drama, complete with fake blood and bandages. The boys especially enjoyed the lesson.
In missions, children met a river boat captain - Antonio - who turned his life over to God. Now, he and his wife share Jesus with the Rain Forest boat people of Venezuela. After the lesson, kids reviewed with a fun game - Oil Tankers vs. Canoes.
Craft time was deep in the Rain Forest: colorful parrot puppets in K class, butterflies in 1st - 3rd and frog boxes in 4th - 6th. (Thanks to all of you who collected OJ and milk cartons. We really are using them.
Kick ball and tag were hits in rec time, as was tortilla pizza in snacks. What are we havin' tomorrow?
