We've seen some awe inspiring scenes in our choir tour travels - Seward, Alaska immediately comes to mind with all the wildlife and glasier flowing valleys.
But, God's beauty of a sunset on a west coast beach compares in its beauty. That's where our youth worshipped their last night in California. We built a fire, ate smores and did a little belly boarding in the evening surf before they worshipped.
The adults left the youth to conduct their own service of worship on the beach. Huddled close singing, praying and sharing Christ with one another for over an hour. I wish you could have heard them sing and watched as they raised their voices and hands to the Lord while the locals around them were doing whatever. It was truly a humbling experience.
As an adult leader we realize that it was not us that lead the youth on this trip, it was the hand of God. We are blessed to be able to witness HIS work in our youth. To not only watch them grow physically, but to watch them spiritually with each other is nothing short of a miracle.
Saturday we start the journey home. We appreciate your prayers and have felt each one as we have experienced a trip of a lifetime. A trip that has changed lives and brought new sheep into the congregation of Jesus Christ.
We miss ya'll (they love to hear us say that word in California) and should be at the church around 7:30 Saturday. Please pray for safe travel.
