FBC provides a wide variety of mission opportunities, including:

  • Mission Kids: K – 6th graders; September – May; meets each Sunday night from 5:30 – 6:25 p.m. on 2nd floor—Christian Life Center. We study exciting mission stories, watch mission videos, play games and eat international snacks. Service projects include Mission Walk-a-thons, Operational Christmas Child booth, and nursing home cookie bake/sing.
  • Brotherhood: All males (youth – adult) are invited to attend our breakfasts and hear inspirational speakers. Various mission projects this group has sponsored have included construction work at smaller local churches in Booneville as well as the Gulf Coast. We have also built ramps for the elderly.
  • Women on Mission (Open to all adult women.)
    • Sunshine Servants – meets 2nd Tuesday of each month at 9:30 a.m. We normally meet at a different member’s home each month for breakfast, prayer, and mission study. Throughout the year we sponsor various mission service projects. Past projects have included “Pure Water Pure Love” – water wells for Africa, boots for Belize Technical School, school supplies for Booneville School District, and birthday remembrances for our homebound. Each month we bring food items or funds for the Associational Food Pantry. Please call 728-6272 for the next meeting place.
    • Helping Hands – an excellent choice for women whose work schedule does not allow for day groups; meets 2nd Monday of each month for dinner and missions’ meeting; place & time varies; call the church office at 728-6272 for details about next meeting.
    • Rosalie Hunt – meets the 2nd Tuesday of each month at 1:00 p.m. at the Landmark Apartments; mission focus each month comes from WMU magazine – Mission Mosaic; past projects have included a missionary shower for Nelene Pannell in Belize, Central America; disaster kits; and food for the Associational Food Pantry.
  • Operation Christmas Child – Our church serves as a Relay Center during the National Collection Week (usually 2nd – 3rd week of November) for Samaritan’s Purse. In October, at our local Fall Festival, our mission groups help “man” a booth and share about this opportunity with the community. On the last collection day, we take all boxes to the Collection Center in Tupelo and help volunteer there as well. Volunteers of all ages are welcome to join us! To find out how you can pack a shoe box for a needy child, go to www.samaritanspurse.org.
  • Service to the Handicapped – For the past several years, our church has served the mentally and physically challenged adults who attend DayHab and Prentiss Industries. We have provided a summer VBS (June or July) and a special Fall Festival Day (October). Interested older children, youth, and retired church members are welcome to assist in this ministry. Call the church office for more details.

Special Mission Offerings

Some of these offerings include the following:
