FBC's Children's Ministry Activities

Some of the FBC Children’s Ministry activities include:

  • Sunday School – Classes for birth through 6th grade are held each Sunday from 9:45 a.m. – 10:45 a.m. Come to the breezeway off of the main parking lot for directions.
  • Extended A.M. Children’s Church – To prepare our little ones (4 year-olds through 6 year-olds) for worship, these children will attend the morning worship service and then exit through the double doors by the sanctuary organ. They will attend a special worship just for them located down the 1st floor hallway – Educational Building.
  • Extended P.M. Children’s Church – Right before the sermon portion of our evening worship, 4 year-olds through 6 year-olds) will go to the Christian Life Center Game Room for a special evening sermon and activity geared for their age group.
  • Mission Kids – K – 6th graders; September – May, excluding holidays; meets each Sunday night, from 5:30 – 6:25 p.m. on 2nd floor of the Educational Building. (Children can come in side entrance above gym.) We study exciting mission stories, watch mission videos, play international games, and eat foreign snacks. Service projects include Mission Walk-a-Thons, Operational Christmas Child booth, and nursing home cookie bake and sing.
  • Kids’ Club – K – 6th graders; summer months; Wednesdays – 6:30 – 7:30 p.m.; Christian Life Center Game Room; Includes a Bible or Christian hero/missionary story, games, and a snack. Past lessons have included “The Todd Beamer Story,” (Bible Visuals International), “Loving God’s Way” Series (Child Evangelism Fellowship), and “God’s Heroes” (CEF).
  • Winter Kids’ Study – Older 4 year-olds – 6th graders; February of each year during the evening service the children will leave the main sanctuary with their teachers immediately following a brief song and prayer time. This will begin at 6:30 p.m. While the parents are in Winter Bible Study, the children will also be studying Bible stories, Christian heroes, or missionaries. In the past, we have studied the lives of Fanny Crosby, Amy Carmichael, and Eric Liddell.
  • Parents’ Night Out – Birth – 6th graders; once a month on a Friday during the school year from 6 – 9 p.m.; free. These are fun theme nights which include unique games, snack meal, a Bible story, movie, and popcorn. Some of the past nights have included Donut Night, Pickle Night, Mexican Night, Farm Night, Crazy Olympics Night, and Baby Night. All theme nights are fully supervised and free to interested church prospects or members.
  • Kids’ Play and Children’s Choirs: During school months; Nursery – 6th graders; 5:30 – 6:30 p.m. – supervised play in gym for those 4 years old – 6th grade; newborns – 3 year-olds – Nursery area; 6:30 – 7:15 p.m. – graded choirs (PK – 6th grade) in Educational Building and 2nd floor – CLC.
  • Children’s Bible Drills: 4th – 6th graders; meets each Sunday night 5:30 – 6:30 p.m.; usually starts in Fall months (will be announced) – April (time of Bible drill competition); this group competes on the Church, Association, and State Level. Participants will learn the books of the Bible, key passages, and key verses to help them serve the Lord.
