Some of the First Baptist's specialized ministries include:
- Nursery Care – a well-staffed nursery is provided for children, ages birth through PK. Our nursery director, Mrs. Julie Franklin has years of experience as a professional daycare director. If you are unsure of nursery care offered for an event, please call the church office at 728-6272.
- Church Library – Sundays, 9—10 a.m.; 1st floor – to the right of the breezeway entrance. Our church library offers a wide variety of Christian fiction, commentaries, children’s videos, and audiotapes.
- Discipleship Training/Small Groups – Elective courses offered on Wednesday or Sunday nights. Past courses have included video/DVD sessions by Adrian Rogers, Beth Moore, James Dobson, Gary Smalley, and Anne Graham Loetz. An ongoing First Place study is offered for those interested in a Bible study focused on weight management. For more information, call the church office.
- G.R.O.W. Outreach – A visitation and letter encouragement program. (Sample letters, verse cards, postage, and stationery provided.)

- Tuesday afternoons from 1:00 p.m. on – homebound contacts, snack gifts, tracts, and devotional guides available for pick up and delivery available in the Berea Room – 2nd floor – Educational Building. You can come any time during a Tuesday afternoon to write letters or visit suggested contacts.
- Tuesdays – 6:30 p.m. – to visit and write assigned prospects and S.S. members; contact names and various supplies provided (gospel tracts, devotional guides, muffins, cards, etc.)
- On Wednesday of each week, a prayer list of all visited is mailed to any interested in becoming a Prayer Warrior for the G.R.O.W. ministry.
- Prayer Ministry – Our prayer room is open to all and is located on the 1st floor – Educational Building. Prayer cards and envelopes, as well as names available. For special prayer needs, call the church office. Weekly prayer lists as well as prayer chains for each day are available.
- Landmark Sunday School – A special devotional time each Sunday, 9:00 a.m., at the Landmark Apartments – cafeteria area. If you are interested in helping with this ministry, please call the church office at 728-6272.
- Tape Ministry – A DVD or CD of our Sunday morning or evening services is available on a limited basis. Please call the church office at 728-6272, if interested in a particular date.
- TV Ministry – This crew of volunteers films each Sunday morning service and special musical productions with the use of three video cameras. Editing equipment is also used in our TV room. These services are then televised on Channel 34 (Cable—16) each Friday, 8:00 p.m. If you are interested in helping with this ministry, call the church office at 728-6272.
- Sound Ministry – These volunteers run the sound for the Sunday services. Live radio broadcasts are on WBIP, 1400 AM at 11:00 a.m. until noon, Sundays and at WBIP, 99.3 FM for evening services, 6:30 p.m. Sundays. Call the church office at 728-6272, if interested in helping with this ministry.
