Today, we all stomped into VBS in our BOOTS for Boot Day. Our boots were made for walkin' and that's just what we did! In Bible, our story was filled with plagues - horrible lessons God sent to warn Pharaoh. Yet despite God's repeated messages, Pharaoh continued in his sin (like we sometimes sadly do). Only the Hebrews were saved in the end - because they trusted in the blood over their doors. We too can trust in the blood of the Lamb of God - Jesus Christ - and be saved from our sins.
God has an ULTIMATE PLAN - for each one of us! Today, we learned that He had a wonderful plan to save baby Moses from death. Years later, God sent His only Son - Jesus - to save us from sin.
Because of that wonderful gift of love, we offer Vacation Bible School each year - to share that good news. Today started off so well - with 76 children and over 50 workers - WOW!!! We are so blessed.
Children signed up for Centri-Kid are urged to turn in their notarized camp form, a copy of their health insurance card, their track time card selections, and their $200.00 (if you have already pd the $50.00 desposit, $150.00 remains.)

Saddle up your horses and get on over to SonWest Roundup!!! We'll be travelling down the trail through the Old Testament stories of Moses to discover God's ultimate plan of salvation in Jesus, because "Jesus is the same yesterday and today and forever" (Hebrews 13;8).
In SonWest, we'll celebrate all the fun of being buckaroos - with food, games, music and crafts--and amazing true stories from God's Word--the Bible.

God's AMAZING POWER was very evident all week - June 11-15th at First Baptist Church's 2012 Vacation Bible School. We started out the week with over 70 workers and 111 children and averaged 105. During the week, seven children made decisions for Christ or rededication.
