Singing till the sun goes down

Today we got up bright and early. We got ready and left the church at 9 heading to First Baptist Church Sharron. It was a small cozy church, where we were the youngest people there. They were very welcoming; they let us use the kitchen for our lunch after the service where we had a great meal by Dawn.

The next place we went was a beautiful nursing home. After singing downstairs and noticing we were suppose to be upstairs. We performed in the theater room with a nice crowd of seniors.

Cincinnati Bound

We had a great trip to Cincinnati, we arrived around 3 or 4.

After we had unloaded we heard the news about Roger Rhodes Grand-son’s (Austin Rhodes) death. If you did not know him he was a great kid and is now in a much better place. He will be greatly missed.

After we had a group prayer for Austin’s family we went to the Cincinnati Reds game. There we enjoyed each others company and expensive ball park food. Grant fisher had said “All I want is a foam finger.” Needless to say he got just that.

Preparing with prayer

Tonight, we had a service for the youth and their parents. Joey spoke about robins and the bracelets that we received. We had our annual circle of prayer after passing out the Bracelets that said “Nothing from selfishness, Philippians 2:3. “ Then we got our new shirts and bag tags and were on our way.

Our last night on the beach

We've seen some awe inspiring scenes in our choir tour travels - Seward, Alaska immediately comes to mind with all the wildlife and glasier flowing valleys.

But, God's beauty of a sunset on a west coast beach compares in its beauty. That's where our youth worshipped their last night in California. We built a fire, ate smores and did a little belly boarding in the evening surf before they worshipped.

At the San Diego Zoo

Here's a few pics from the Zoo of some animals and even some picsof some of the caged wild species! No just kidding the kids have been great, doing all that has been asked of them and then some.

The zoo is awesome. We spent nearly 5 hours looking and I am sure that some didn't see it all. It would take a ciuple of days to all the exibits.

The San Diego Zoo is so large and very hilly. It is tough walking up and down the slopes - we got a good work out.
